Maharashtra’s Amravati district’s police on Saturday registered a case towards radical Hindutva chief Sambhaji Bhide for allegedly made a press release questioning the parentage of Mahatma Gandhi, an official stated. A First Data Report (FIR) has been lodged a day after the Maharashtra unit of the Congress celebration on July 28 sought his arrest in Maharashtra’s Meeting.
The Rajapeth police have registered the case towards Mr. Bhide underneath Indian Penal Code Part 153A (selling enmity between totally different teams on grounds of faith, race, homeland, residence, language, and so on., and doing acts prejudicial to upkeep of concord), the official stated.

How can he roam free after making derogatory remarks about Mahatma Gandhi?” senior Congress chief and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on July 28 had stated.
